A 23-year-old from Southampton received a 27-week prison sentence, deferred for 12 months, after admitting to dangerous driving.

An officer remarked: “Residents, drivers and our traffic officers have had their fill with these groups of drivers selfishly taking over public roads and car parks and we will not tolerate it.”
He added: “They are not only a complete nuisance, but they also place themselves and innocent bystanders at risk of serious injury.”
He finished: “Our efforts will persist to take legal action against these individuals and I hope these recent cases serve as a warning: you will face consequences.”
