Los Angeles Erupts in Jubilation as Dodgers Secure Second World Series Championship
The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series title. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an translator.
The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year showed as much if not more enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
