Passionate fans of the pop star are demanding that a person who breached a barrier and grabbed the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the Australian man shoving aside photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed features recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Several fans accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed suffering from PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a light pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, winning several for outstanding attire and production design.
