1. Top Player Palmer Available for Important London Clash with Arsenal

The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the squad's vital top-flight encounter against London rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old English international was out of action due to a broken toe sustained after an unfortunate incident.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca said. “The whole team is delighted.”

This season, Palmer has made only four appearances across all competitions, finding the net on two occasions.

After joining from Manchester City in 2023, he has recorded 45 strikes and 29 setups in 101 appearances for the London club.

“He is our top performer, we are pleased he is back, we need to provide him with time to be 100% fit,” Maresca noted. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do great things for this club in the future.”

2. The Toffees Get No Reason for Failed Gueye Red Card Challenge

The Merseyside club were unsuccessful in their challenge against Idrissa Gueye's red card for a physical confrontation with teammate Michael Keane during the squad's single-goal triumph at Manchester United.

The 36-year-old Senegalese midfielder was dismissed only early on into the match after slapping Keane during a disagreement over a misplaced pass.

Gueye promptly expressed regret, and the pair were seen making up later in a mock online video.

However, the challenge against the red card was denied, and Gueye must complete a three-game ban, leaving Everton depleted for their upcoming match against Newcastle United.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” coach the manager revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

Inquired about more issues from the event, Moyes continued: “It was over immediately, it was done, that was it, we progressed swiftly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

4. Liverpool' Slump ‘Irrelevant’, Says Hammers Boss Nuno

West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has claimed that the reigning champions' current slump “should not be a focus” as his side gets ready to face the ailing top-flight champions.

Arne Slot's team has lost six of the last seven Premier League games, dropping out of the top 10 of the table.

However, Nuno highlighted that there can be no complacency when the teams meet on the weekend at the their home ground.

The club's boss Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be available for the side's at home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend.

The English player missed the midweek Europa League game against Malmö due to a back issue.

“We hope it is improving,” Dyche stated as he got ready to face Fabian Hürzeler's side, who have secured a decent haul from their past three outings.

“It’s like a bad back, but a morning sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or twist funny. So we’re not expecting, at this stage anyway, that it’s very severe and it’s easing already. So we’re confident that it’ll be fine for the weekend.”

Murillo was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 European win, but Dyche said the player “will likely be available”.

Meanwhile, the full-back (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are expected to miss out.
