Beloved Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at Age 60.

US actor Pat Finn, who appeared in iconic television series such as "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has succumbed at 60 years old.

The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles this Monday following cancer treatment beginning in 2022, as reported by media reports.

"He considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones stated in a statement.

They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".

A Prolific Career on Screen

Finn's first television role was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.

He also had a recurring role on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.

He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, depicting a party host known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.

During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on numerous hit series, like:

  • "King of Queens"
  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • House

Finn was perhaps best known for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight series from 2011 to 2018.

His film credits include It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Off-Screen Life

Beyond his on-screen roles, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was part of a six-person improv troupe called "Beer Shark Mice".

"Pat guided, supported, and advised many learners throughout the years and it would be difficult to find a person anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, colleague and actor actor Richard Kind said there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Always positive, helping you be funnier and better. A wonderful father and man," he posted on social media.

Pat Finn is leaves behind his wife Donna, his children, and his family.
