In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Features

Players who finish the quest will acquire an special katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
